According to the prongouses of the meteorologist Nicos Canteres, February is expected very cold. After Sunday, Greece will be covered with rains and snowfalls.

In his message, the meteorologist warns:

“February will be a colder month than January, and after Sunday, rains and snowfalls are likely. January was relatively warm for this season, since throughout its entire period the maximum temperature was higher than the norm. In Athens of the 25th, the maximum temperatures of January were higher than the norm. With a normal value of 13 ° C, the temperature on this day reached 20 ° C. The previous month was wet and with a large number of fogs. ”

The meteorologist talks about changing the weather in February, when the first barometric minimum brought rains and storms even to Attica. He emphasized:

“The current month cannot be warm, since the temperature that has begun to decline will hold the mercury column at a relatively low level, lower than the norm, at least until February 16.”

As for the weather forecast for the current week, Mr. Canteres emphasized that there will be no snowfall from Wednesday to Saturday, since the extensive Siberian anticyclone, covering central, northern and eastern Europe, will reach Greece, creating something like a “curb”.

However, after Sunday, February 9, a meteorologist noted, a barometric minimum of the Central Mediterranean will shift east and pass under the “curbs” of anticyclone, and in combination with it will bring snow and rain to the country.
