Patras: family loses second child in a short time (video)

“We have a death without a diagnosis,” said the deputy director of the University Hospital of Patras, announcing that a 5-year-old baby had died.

A forensic examination aims to shed light on the causes of the child’s death in a Rio hospital (Ρίου), but for now they remain unknown.

The child was first taken to the Arta hospital, but due to the criticality of his condition, it was decided to immediately transfer him to Patras, where he was treated in the pediatric intensive care unit.

The girl's family is experiencing another tragic loss: this is the second child to die in a short period. The hospital, in collaboration with specialized centers, has already sent biological and genetic material to Onassios and Thessaloniki for further analysis. The possibility of a genetic or hereditary disease is being considered.
