Larisa: brutal beating of 15-year-old twin girls by their peers

Juveniles in Larisa sent 15-year-old sisters to the hospital with their cruel actions: “They spat at them, pushed them, kicked them in the head, told them to kneel down and ask for forgiveness.”

The victims suffered bruises all over their bodies. The attack took place on January 5 in Neapolis Square, and the reason was a phone call from the sisters to a boy from their classmate. A group of about twenty girls (!), according to the girls’ parents, surrounded them and began beating them:

“My daughters tried to bypass the cordon and slowly leave. They started running after them. The one who knows martial arts grabbed the girls and slapped them. She threw them to the ground and they began kicking their daughters in the head. They grabbed my other daughter by the hair and immobilized her. They hit me all over my body.”

The beating stopped only after the intervention of two students who were passing by and threatened to call the police, writes CNN Greece. It is noteworthy that until this moment none of the eyewitnesses intervened. Some even began recording scenes of violence on their mobile phones.

The injured girls returned home and were then taken to the hospital, where they spent three days in shock from what had happened. Parents say, recalling the incident with horror:

“There were 20 children there and they were shouting 'tree' (φώναζαν 'ξύλο'). We went to Larisa's hospital. We stayed there for almost three days. My daughters are still in shock. They try to fight their psychology, but they are afraid that they will be found and beaten again. The Greek police and prosecutor must intervene and stop all this. We don't need to be afraid anymore.”
