The owner of the house in Halkidiki I was on vacation, and when I returned, I discovered that safecontaining jewels and stones worth one million eurodisappeared.
IN Halkidiki an incredible theft occurred: unknown persons entered a private house and, with the help loader the safe was taken away owners who weighed 2.5 tons and contained jewels and stones worth one million euro. 75 year old The owner of the house, speaking exclusively to Live News, noted that the forklift left marks inside the house and even damaged the floor in some places.
“They took the safe using a forklift. They tried to open it, but couldn’t, they removed the lock cover and realized that they couldn’t take it away. According to my husband, this safe also contains explosives, of low power, but they are there. They realized this when they saw that there was a picture of a lion outside and small mines around it, so they became suspicious and did not try to open the lock, but took it with a forklift, because I found traces inside the house,” – she said.
The owner was absent from the house for Halkidiki with my family since the beginning of January, when on Sunday, 12thshe was informed that the lock on the outer lattice door was broken.
“I locked the door with a lock and chain, and normally closed the metal door from the outside. On Saturday my friend came to feed the cats, I have two cats and he came to feed them. On Saturday morning, when it was not raining, he put his hand through the grate and threw the food, and then walked away. On Sunday morning he came to feed them again and found the door open so he called me. He said, 'You know, the door is open from the outside.' I asked: 'When did you see her?' He replied: 'I just noticed on Sunday because it was raining and I was looking for a place to put the cat food.'
As you might expect, the woman was shocked by her friend's call and returned to her home the next day. Halkidiki together with his son.
“When we turned on the light, my son said, 'Mom, they took the safe.' And then we saw that all the sofas in the house had been moved out of the living room – we have two levels downstairs and dining rooms, we have two stairs – and he was dragged, leaving traces of a car that came inside and took him. Because the safe was very heavy. He wasn't huge. He was 1.10 meters on 80 centimetersbut was steel and weighed more 2 tonsso I didn’t even imagine that he could be taken away. I used to say: “They’d rather blow it up, since it’s impossible to take it away.”noted the victim.
Although none of the neighbors noticed the thieves, law enforcement agencies are looking for security camera footage that may have captured the criminals' route. The case is being investigated Polygyros Security Directorate.
