Heavy rains in Attica: another outburst of feces on Poseidonos

Heavy rainswhich have hit Attica since Sunday evening have caused problems in agglomerationswith many flooded areas and slow traffic, traffic jams.

Due to the accumulation of water, there are difficulties in the movement of vehicles on Poseidonos Avenue in the area Kalamaki in the direction Piraeus. As Mr Kondylis describes: “Immediate intervention by three machines ΕΥΔΑΠone of which is a pump, together with one fire service vehicle, made it possible to quickly bring the situation under control. At the moment there is an unpleasant odor and a small flow of wastewater. Unfortunately, until a new pipeline is built, as already announced ΕΥΔΑΠwith significant rain this situation will persist. Imagine that in order to keep the lid from lifting, one of the vehicles ΕΥΔΑΠ puts pressure on it to hold it in place.”

We remind you that a similar situation happened two weeks agocausing sewage to flood the avenue, houses and shops.

Although there are serious problems on the ascent and descent Kifisos decreased, traffic jams observed in the center of Athens and on Kifissia to the area Halandri. The plugs are also fixed on Attiki odos (Attic Highway).
