The missing man in Larisa turned out to be the son of the prosecutor in the Tempi case


The parents of 39-year-old Vasilis put him on the wanted list after his disappearance on December 30, and a “silver alert” was activated.

Vasilis Kalogiru came to his parents in Larisa for the holidays. On Monday he went out for a short walk and didn't come back. ΕΜΑΚ and drones are “combing” the surroundings of Pinios.

His family is appealing to anyone who knows anything about the man's disappearance to contact authorities and help with the investigation.

According to preliminary information, Surveillance cameras recorded the man moving towards the river Pinios. On Thursday, January 2, search efforts focused on the area around the Alcazar, and at first light, a specially trained EMAK dog joined the search.

Gerasimos Kourouklis, head of Silver Alert Lifeline, said:

“We also took several witness statements and handed them over to security. They say that he was in the store, buying calendars and was in a good mood. It was December 31st.”

By data media, the man is the son of the prosecutor handling the Tempi caseand disappeared from his parents' house suddenly when he went out for a regular walk, but never returned. When he left, he did not take his mobile phone or car with him.
