This year's winter sales begin on January 13th. On what Sundays will stores be open?

On Monday January 13the current winter sales will begin and will last until Friday 28 February.

In particular Trade Association of Thessaloniki in its statement reports that stores are allowed to open at will on the first two Sundays of winter sales, 19 And January 26, 2025with recommended operating hours on these days from 11:00 to 18:00.

Regarding discounts, it is emphasized that “Each price reduction advertisement must clearly state the previous price (often called the reference price) on which the discount is applied. Previous is the lowest price that the merchant applied to each of his products during 30 days before the first discount starts January 13″.

It is also emphasized that special care must be taken in complying with the rules on discounts and reduced prices, since sanctions for those who violate the law include a fine of 1% from annual turnover, but not less 10,000 euros.

If discounts are found to be inaccurate or misleading, the penalty will be 2% from annual turnover and not less 20,000 euros.
