Italy is preparing to issue a 7 euro coin – where it can be used

From the New Year a coin will be minted in Italy 7 euros (which is actually equal to 7.50 euros), it is expected that it may become popular with collectors.

Innovation in the 7.50€ coin

Coin 7.50 euros is considered something revolutionary and, in a certain sense, impossible. But in fact, behind this unusual coin there is a project that has aroused interest and discussion.

This is not a coin 1 or 2 eurosto which we are accustomed, but a new copy that has legal value and which can be used in the same way as all other coins. However, the peculiarity is that its circulation will be limited, which makes it even more interesting, and the choice of denomination in 7.50 euros is not random.

The coin fits into a very specific context, which aims to celebrate a special connection to the past and a certain symbolism regarding the culture of the country. But how could we use it if it fell into our hands?

Limited Edition Coin

Although it has a legal face value, this coin will not be publicly available to citizens. Ethis means that it will not be easily accessible, and many may never even see it. This makes it an ideal collector's item. Coin 7.50 euros will actually be released in limited quantities, just 25,000 copies will be available for sale.

It will only be available for purchase at Portugal and through Banco de Portugalwhich manages the issue and distribution of commemorative coins. Theoretically it can be used, but it is so rare that it would be worth more if it were sold.

As a commemorative coin, its purchasing value may vary depending on collector demand and market conditions. Currently the selling price is not particularly favorable and may fluctuate around 12.50 eurobut it is important to note that these values may change over time. Thus, purchasing this coin can be a small investment.
