According to the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Kazakhstan, the Azerbaijan Airlines passenger plane J2 8243 was flying from Baku to Grozny. The crashed Embraer 190 issued an emergency signal due to a collision with a flock of birds and loss of steering control.
More than 60 Russians were on board the plane that crashed, Russian media reported. According to preliminary data, there are survivors of the disaster.
Due to fog in the capital of Chechnya, the plane was redirected to Makhachkala and then to Aktau. Before the fall, he completed several laps around the airport.
