Consumers are struggling. “We will only buy beef. There are no more funds.” In addition, there are complaints against the government, as citizens criticize it for leaving them without help. “I expected that we would be given an allowance, but it has not yet been paid. We are being deceived.” Market activity is expected to increase in the coming days.
The Christmas table has become more expensive. Citizens are looking for cheap solutions for the New Year's table, but research from the “Εξελίξεων” program shows that this year consumers will have to spend significantly more than last year. In particular, journalist Antonis Raftopoulos presented the following data in the program “Εξελίξεων”:
- For 6 people the Christmas table this year costs 248.5 euros. In 2023 it was worth about 209.7 eurosin 2022 – 186.7 eurosand in 2021 – 163.4 euros.
