Ukraine: serial production of a new Ukrainian cruise missile has begun "Inferno" (video)

Over the past three months, 100 Ukrainian Peklo missiles have been manufactured by the manufacturing company. The model, tested in practice, went into mass production.

As they say in material publications “EP”, contracts are concluded by the same units that operate long-range drones. The development company has produced about a hundred missiles and is now increases production capabilities. The exact price has not been disclosed, but it will be less than the cost of the Ukrainian kamikaze drone “Fierce”.

According to the developer, the rocket consists of 70% Ukrainian componentsproduced by public and private companies. There are many bottlenecks in mass production, so they are trying to level them out through the interchangeability of elements. For example, a rocket will be able to operate on different engines, depending on their availability on the market.

The Ukrainians tried to compensate for the gap from the Russians in powerful and long-range weapons by creating a kamikaze drone of a new level. At some point, everything didn’t go according to plan, and Ukraine ended up with a full-fledged missile.

President of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky instructed produce three thousand cruise missiles in 2025. Last year's super task from the head of state – production of one million FPV drones – The defense industry completed it far ahead of schedule, but the story with cruise missiles, at first glance, looks completely unrealistic.

Even in Soviet times, Ukrainian enterprises were not famous for producing large cruise missiles, with the exception of the Kharkov Aviation Plant, which long ago lost these technologies. In Ukraine there is development of the Neptune cruise missilewith which the Luch design bureau is working, but so far we are not talking about large volumes of its production.

In fact making 3000 rockets in a year is quite possible. There is only one caveat – they will be small. While the Russians are increasing the size of their missiles, building the notorious Oreshniki, Ukraine continues to develop long-range drone technology, making them faster, more accurate and more powerful.

It was from the idea to improve kamikaze drones that Ukrainian engineers created something between drones and missiles. The new weapon will occupy the niche of long-range drones, but the presence of a jet engine and a more advanced guidance system gives it the right to be called a missile.

Ukrainian enterprises are already mass-producing them and are preparing to significantly scale up production.
