Evia: brother and sister arrested for father's murder (video)

On Monday, December 16, a tragedy occurred in Evia: a brother and sister killed their father by suffocating them with a pillow.

How tells CNN Greece, a son called the police and said his 65-year-old father tried to rape him and is now dead. Law enforcement officers began investigating the circumstances of the incident and the man’s death.

At the scene, police found the deceased naked on the interior stairs of the house leading to the first floor. There was a knife nearby, but it was not used for any action. The body of the deceased was sent for examination. A few hours later, on the evening of December 17, the perpetrators admitted during interrogation that they had killed their father with a pillow, as a result of which he suffocated.

The Chalkida Prosecution and Crime Investigation Department has solved a terrible crime that shocked Evia.

A forensic examination showed that death was not due to a fall. During interrogation by police from the Chalkida Crime Investigation and Detection Unit, the 22-year-old man, along with his 26-year-old sister and her 29-year-old husband, admitted that they committed the murder while the man was sleeping, at approximately 6-7 am.

They then undressed him, carried him to the internal staircase of the house and threw him in such a way as to appear to have been an accidental fall. They threw the knife along with him. Then they took the bedspread and pillows and burned them in the courtyard of the house to cover their tracks.

Police confiscated two household knives and a homosexual magazine, which the perpetrators placed between two mattresses on which the victim slept, as well as 12,000 euros found in the perpetrators' bedroom. Three murder suspects were taken to the police station.
