US President-elect Donald Trump says the only way to stop the war is not to abandon Ukraine.
He assured, writes recognized Trump “Person of the Year” by Time, in his attempts to resolve the Russian-Ukrainian war will continue to support Ukraine.
When asked whether he would abandon Ukraine, Trump said that uses US support for Ukraine as leverage on Russia in negotiations to end the war:
“I want to reach an agreement, and the only way to reach an agreement is not to leave Ukraine.”

At the same time, Trump noted in an interview given to Time at the end of November, he does not understand why Washington gave permission for Ukraine to fire American missiles deep into Russian territory. Trump criticized Kyiv for launching American-made missiles into Russian territory:
“I strongly disagree with sending missiles hundreds of miles deep into Russia. Why are we doing this?”
