K. Guilfoyle: “My appointment as ambassador to Athens shows how much Trump loves Greece”

Kimberly Guilfoyle expressed delight at the selection of Donald Trump as the next US ambassador to Greece in his Internet show on the Rumble platform “The Kimberly Guilfoyle Show”where she hosted Greek-American businessman John Catsimatidis and lobbyist Roger Stone.

She added that The US President-elect loves Greece very much. “I am thrilled to have the opportunity to convey this message as the next United States Ambassador to Greece. I look forward to the support of the U.S. Senate and working with our key Greek allies to strengthen bilateral cooperation and ensure energy, security, peace and prosperity.” Ms. Guilfoyle said before welcoming her first guest, Mr. Catsimatidis.

“I want to talk about your background and how, according to reports, you have even been proposed to. Okay, we discussed all this, it will be interesting. Come visit me in Greece, Johnny. Become the President of Greece” she said, laughing, to John Catsimatidis, alluding to the offer he received to be nominated as president.

“Let's talk about the ties between the United States and Greece, and I'm really inspired and impressed by the resilience of the Greek people, their economic journey and the incredible history that is so rich – this is the birthplace of democracy. Greece is the birthplace of democracy! added Kimberly Guilfoyle, while John Catsimatidis spoke about the quality of life in Greece.

“I spent a little time there this summer and the people are wonderful. The food is great. It's just very, very relaxing. Do you know why? I think Greeks live longer, about 10 years longer than others. You breathe this clean air and live 10 years longer. I love it and the food is great.” Mr. Catsimatidis said.

Guilfoyle agreed: “Every year for my birthdays, I always want to eat Greek food. I love lamb, Greek honey, yogurt and all of it together. In San Francisco I always went to this restaurant. I don't know if you've ever been there, but it's a wonderful Greek restaurant called Kokari. And every time they asked me: “Do you want to go to the same one?”, I said: “Yes, I want to go to the same one. This is my favorite.”

Immediately after John Catsimatidis, Kimberly Guilfoyle's next guest was Roger Stone, who also congratulated her, repeatedly expressing confidence that newly elected US President Donald Trump had made the right choice. “Warmest congratulations. This is one of the best presidential appointments. Congratulations to you, congratulations to him and congratulations to the country,” said Stone.

For her part, Guilfoyle spoke about the upcoming transition process and interaction with the outgoing ambassador, George Tsunis, emphasizing that her appointment demonstrates that Trump “loves the Greeks.”

“Goddess” Kimberly Guilfoyle is the new US ambassador to Greece by Trump’s decision

“Honestly, it shows how much he loves the people of Greece and how seriously he takes this because he knows what kind of job I'm going to do and that I'm going to work for him, for the American people and for the people of Greece, absolutely. I have already been in contact with the current Ambassador and we are working together to ensure a smooth transition. It is great that a full information report is being prepared on all the important issues that need to be addressed. I'm really excited about this. You know, I'm a bit of a nerd and I'm looking forward to learning everything!”

Guilfoyle, according to the publication “Εθνικό Κήρυκα”, revealed the dialogue that she had with Donald Trump before his decision to offer her the post of US Ambassador to Athens was announced.

Message on Network X from Donald Trump's son: “I'm so proud of Kimberly. She loves America and has always wanted to serve the country as an ambassador. She will be a wonderful America First leader.”

“I feel so privileged to be able to take this position, to do something that I truly believe in and that I think is important on the international stage. And honestly, my God, what an honor of a lifetime to serve as Ambassador of the United States to the greatest President this country has ever had, President Donald Trump. I told the president the other day that we have known each other for two decades. It's just… incredible. And he said to me, “This is about you and me, and what we are doing, and what we are going to achieve for Greece.” And I absolutely love it. To be honest, I didn't ask for anything. I just said, “I want to go to Greece. I love it.” Because I find it so interesting and exciting. I have spent time in many other countries. As you know, I studied law in Ireland for some time. There I studied European Economic Community Law at Trinity College in Dublin, Ireland. I'm a big student of history and I'm delighted because Greece plays an important role in EU and in NATO too. I really appreciate it and the President was so kind to call me and offer me this position.” Guilfoyle said, adding that she would like to work on the U.S.-Greece bilateral relationship.
