According to meteorologist Clearhos Marousakis, from today the wave of instability in the eastern Aegean region will begin to dissipate and weather conditions will improve, but not for long:

“On Thursday and Friday a northerly wind will rise to make the atmosphere more stable and the temperature will drop slightly. On Saturday afternoon another wave of bad weather will move in from the west, which will turn the wind to the south and bring rain from the west to the south. From Saturday afternoon The weather will worsen first in the west, and on Sunday the rains will spread to other parts of our country.”

Instability before Christmas

Unstable weather will continue until Christmas, meteorologist warns:

“This means that from time to time some barometric lows will come our way from central Europe and the Mediterranean interior, which means that in all likelihood the weather there will be unsettled both before and during Christmas, but this is not the case . mean that we are especially cold. We will have some spells of rain, possibly even storms, mainly in the sea and coastal areas.”

Weather for Wednesday December 11

In the west, in Thrace, on the islands of the eastern Aegean Sea and the Dodecanese, cloudy, localized rain. Sporadic storms are forecast in Thrace early in the morning and in the eastern Aegean until midday. The rest of the country has clear weather with some occasional clouds in the morning.

Visibility in western continental areas will be locally limited during the morning hours. The wind will be west/southwest, from 3 to 5, and in the Aegean Sea in some places up to 6 on the Beaufort scale, gradually changing to northwest and weakening.

Temperatures will drop slightly in the north. Thermometers will reach 13-15°C in the north, 16-19°C in other regions and locally 21°C in the Cyclades, Crete and Dodecanese.

Weather on Thursday December 12

A small amount of cloud will increase temporarily with light localized rainfall in central and eastern Macedonia, the Sporades and Evia. Visibility in the morning and evening hours in continental areas will be locally limited. The wind is north, from 3 to 5 points, in the Dodecanese it will intensify in places to 6 points on the Beaufort scale. The temperature will drop slightly.

Weather on Friday December 13th

In the west the weather is clear with some clouds in the morning. In the rest of the country, cloudiness will temporarily increase due to localized rain in central Macedonia, the Sporades, Evia, and in the evening in the eastern Peloponnese and northern Crete.

Visibility will be locally limited in the morning and evening hours. Wind north/northeast, in the west from 3 to 4, in the east from 4 to 5 and locally in the Dodecanese up to 6 on the Beaufort scale, gradually increasing from the afternoon. Temperatures will drop slightly in the east.

Weather on Saturday December 14

In the west there will be some cloudiness, which will gradually increase. Scattered showers will occur in the afternoon. The event will intensify in the evening and sporadic thunderstorms are expected. In the rest of the country, cloudiness will increase in places in continental areas, and short periods of rain are expected in central Macedonia, Thessaly, Evia and the eastern Peloponnese.

Visibility in the morning hours in continental areas will be locally limited. Wind from 4 to 5 points, in the Ionian Sea up to 6 points, in the Aegean Sea in some places up to 7 points on the Beaufort scale, with a gradual weakening in the afternoon. The temperature will drop even more.
