Tremors measuring 4.0 on the Richter scale were recorded early in the morning on December 11 near Crete.
The epicenter of the earthquake is located 96 kilometers southeast of Zakros, 115 kilometers southeast of Sitia. The depth of the source is estimated at 10.7 km.
