Ukrainian forces struck a military airport in Rostov, firing 6 ATACMS missiles. Russian Ministry of Defense admitted that the airport in Taganrog came under missile attack.
According to preliminary information, a military unit of the 5th aviation group of the 6955th air brigade from the Russian Federation was damaged. The attack, carried out using 6 ATACMS missiles, resulted in casualties among personnel.
The Russian Defense Ministry confirmed the ATACMS strike on the Taganrog military airfield in the Rostov region.

In a statement, the ministry said all six missiles were shot down or intercepted, but missile debris that fell to the ground caused injuries to some employees.

“There was no significant damage, but two buildings in the technical department of the airport and three military vehicles, as well as civilian vehicles in the parking lot next to the airport, were damaged. minor damage (from the wreckage)”the ministry said in a statement.

Earlier, the Russian Ministry of Defense announced a strike with six ATACMS missiles, two of which were shot down and the rest “rejected” by electronic warfare. The attack was the first in two weeks, and the Russian side said it would not go unanswered.
Russia may strike Ukraine again with Oreshnik in the “coming days,” Reuters and Bloomberg write about this, citing anonymous American sources. “This attack using Western long-range weapons will not go unanswered and appropriate measures will be taken,” – the message emphasizes.
“Russia may conduct another test of the Oreshnik medium-range ballistic missile in the coming days. According to our estimates, this is another way “terrorize Ukraine”, – a US administration representative told the agency.
