Five servicemen, including a brigadier general, died in a Turkish army helicopter crash in Isparta province in western Turkey. The helicopter belonged to the Army Aviation School and was performing a training flight.
Two military helicopters collided during a training flight in the regional center of Keciborlu in the Turkish province of Isparta.
One of the helicopters crashed near a gas station. Fire brigades were sent to the area of the incident. The fire at the site of the helicopter crash was quickly extinguished. There were five military personnel in the crashed helicopter, one of whom was brigadier general.
According to representatives of the Ministry of Defense, a military transport helicopter UH-1 “Iroquois” (“Huey”), produced by an American company, crashed Bell.
