A yacht carrying more than thirty tourists from 14 countries sank in Egypt. There were also 14 crew members on board.
Of the forty-five people, 27 were saved, the rest are listed as missing. How reports Russian Traveler publication, among the tourists were citizens of Germany, Spain, Belgium, China, the USA, Slovakia, Switzerland, Great Britain, Poland, Norway, Ireland and Finland. There were no Russians or Ukrainians on board.
According to the Egyptian newspaper Youm7, the tragedy occurred early on Monday morning, November 25, near the coast of Egyptian Mars Alam. The ship set sail on November 24 from Marsa Alam and went on a 5-day diving tour. It was supposed to arrive in Hurghada on November 29.
Some of the survivors were picked up by a search and rescue plane. A frigate was sent to rescue the others.
