Putin threatened Russia's enemies with hypersonic weapons "Hazel"

In an evening televised address, Russian President Vladimir Putin commented on the night strike on Dnepropetrovsk. According to him, on November 21, Russia used the latest Russian hypersonic missile to strike the Dnieper medium-range system “Oreshnik” in non-nuclear version.

According to him, there are no air defense systems capable of shooting down such missiles. He called the application “Hazel” response to blows Western long-range missiles across the Russian Federation and US plans for the production and deployment of medium- and short-range missiles.

In his speech, the Russian President said: “The conflict has acquired elements of a global nature. Russian military facilities in the Bryansk and Kursk regions were hit by Western missiles. We could attack the military installations of any country that uses weapons against Russia. On November 19, six ATACMS missiles, and on November 21, Storm Shadow, hit targets in the Kursk and Bryansk regions. Russia responded by striking Yuzhmash with a nuclear-free hypersonic ballistic missile of the Oreshnik type.

The President of the Russian Federation also stated that the Russian Federation “will warn civilians in advance in the event of the use of systems such as Oreshnik.”

“Russia is ready to resolve controversial issues through peaceful means, but is ready for any development of events. If anyone doubts this, then in vain – the answer will always be, – Putin said. – Russia considers itself to have the right to use weapons against the targets of those countries that allow their weapons to be used against Russian targets. In case of escalation, Russia will respond decisively and in a mirror manner.”

Many videos of a ballistic missile attack on the Yuzhmash plant in Dnepropetrovsk have appeared online. During the Soviet era, Yuzhmash was the leading enterprise in the Soviet Union in the production of intercontinental ballistic missiles.

Vladimir Zelensky has recently repeatedly stated that Ukraine intends to launch its mass production of ballistic missiles. After today’s attack on the Dnieper, the people’s deputy from this city, Maxim Buzhansky, wrote in his telegram channel: “I think it’s time to start stopping publicly talking about where and how many missiles we produce. This topic should not be public during the war.”

Officially, the authorities did not confirm the attack on Yuzhmash, but spoke of “damage to an industrial enterprise.”
