Today (20/11) Greek police revealed information about a criminal organization operating in Megara, which was dismantled last week. The publication contains information about both two men and a “fortune teller” who stole 850,000 euros from the victim.
Statement by ΕΛ.ΑΣ. about criminal group and fraud
“In accordance with the instructions of the Prosecutor's Office of the First Instance of Athens, personal information, photographs, as well as information on the initiation of criminal proceedings against three citizens, members of a criminal organization that was liquidated on November 13, 2024 by the Megara Security Department and the Attica Crime Directorate ( see press release dated November 16, 2024).
A criminal case has been opened against the accused for the creation and participation in a criminal organization, fraud in complicity and in a continuous manner, which resulted in damage exceeding 120,000 euros, as well as for serious robbery with the intent to force the victim to act for which he was not obliged commit, complicity, extortion, committed with the use of physical violence against a person and with threats associated with imminent danger to health or life, in a prolonged in complicity and alone, as well as for professional usury and direct complicity in usury.

This publication, in accordance with the relevant direction of the prosecutor, is aimed at the overriding need to protect the public from such criminal acts that violate the freedom of movement of man in his natural environment, as well as to investigate, detect and prosecute similar crimes committed by the above-mentioned accused against other victims.

It is noted that this publication will be valid until February 18, 2025, according to the prosecutor’s instructions. After this period, the law prohibits the storage and/or reproduction of the data published above.
