Donald Trump's ally Elon Musk ridiculed Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky for saying that an independent Ukraine cannot be forced to “sit and listen” during negotiations.

The American billionaire reposted a modified Zelensky quote from an interview with Ukrainian radio. The quote in the tweet was: “The US cannot force us to 'sit and listen' at the negotiating table. We are an independent country.”
“He has an amazing sense of humor,” Musk commented and attached a link to an article from 2021, updated in the early days of the full-scale Russian invasion, about how Zelensky was a comedian with no political experience and became a military leader.
Earlier, in an interview with Ukrainian Radio, in response to a clarifying question about whether Trump put a demand for Ukraine to participate in negotiations with Russia, Zelensky replied:
“We are an independent country. And during this war, both our people and I personally in negotiations with the United States, and with Trump, and with Biden, and with European leaders, proved that the rhetoric of “Sit down and listen” is not with us works”.
Elon Musk played a key role in Trump's winning campaign in the US presidential election, investing tens of millions of dollars in it and promoting Trump on his social network. Now, as ABC News notes, the billionaire directly influences the personnel decisions and strategy of the newly elected president.
Musk behaves like a co-president and promotes his people, which strains Trump’s entourage, the media write. NBC News, citing sources, notes:
“Entrepreneur and billionaire Elon Musk is beginning to annoy some people around President-elect Donald Trump because he behaves “as if he were a co-president.” After the Republican’s victory, the businessman is constantly at Trump’s residence, “aggressively promoting his views,” and has an opinion “on any “, “makes sure everyone knows about it,” and even promotes his people. But appointing people loyal to Elon doesn't work.”
Previously our publication toldwhat's on the phone conversation American businessman Elon Musk took part between US President-elect Donald Trump and Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky. Longtime Trump allies believe Musk is going beyond his assigned role:
“He takes great credit for the President's victory. He's bragging about America PAC (a super PAC created by Musk with the participation of several prominent tech businessmen to support Trump's presidential campaign) to anyone who will listen. He's trying to make President Trump feel indebted to him.” . And the president doesn’t owe anything to anyone.”
The publication's interlocutors believe that this could harm Musk's reputation in the future. However, there is nothing new in the behavior of the billionaire. Judge for yourself – this video appeared a year ago:
