Heavy rain in Chania turned the city into the Greek “Venice” – it was time to swim instead of driving on the roads.
Cars were moving yesterday at minimum speed, overcoming road “rivers”. It rained heavily on Saturday, as did many other parts of Greece, including Crete.
In the zarpanews.gr video from Kydonias Street, it is clearly visible that the water level after the rain in the city center is quite high, which made it difficult for pedestrians to pass and forced cars to drive at low speed.
However, already at night meteorologists promised a decrease in the intensity of precipitation. The situation was no better in Mytilene (video November 15):
And in Pisoderi, Nymfaio and Vasilitsa, thanks to “Alexandros”, the first snow fell:
In Larisa, due to rains, the ground has sagged in many places, causing even cars to fall into it.
