A robber of jewelry stores was arrested, who went to “business” in a Porsche and left the jewelry stores that he robbed like … a “gentleman” – in a black suit and white slippers.
A 44-year-old man was discovered and detained at a house in Pallina, where he was hiding in the elevator shaft of his building. The arrest was made on 11/12/2024 by employees of the Marathon Security Department for repeated robberies and violations of weapons laws.
He was identified during an investigation into two robberies of jewelry stores in the northeastern Attica area. According to the information, the criminal drove a Porsche and robbed jewelry stores, posing as a “gentleman.”
Police operation in Pallina
On Tuesday at noon, after a police operation and with the help of O.P.K.E. officers, the robber was discovered and detained at his home in the Pallina area. To avoid arrest, the robber hid in the elevator shaft of his building, where he was found by police.
Robbery
He was identified in at least two robberies, according to police. In both cases the man acted the same way. He came to jewelry stores, where, at gunpoint, he stole jewelry worth more than 15,000 euros.
A samurai sword (wakizashi) and a mobile phone were found and confiscated in his house. However, the main evidence was his clothes, which he wore during the robbery in New Makri. The robber was posing as a gentleman, so he dressed in a black suit and white sports shoes (probably also white socks).
In addition to weapons, a Porsche car, which was used in the robberies, was seized from the robber. As a result of the investigation, 2 cases of robbery were solved. The detainee was brought to the prosecutor.
