The driver of the bus traveling on route No. 451 “KHALANDRI-N. PENTELI,” was driving while intoxicated.
The announcement of ΟΣΥ (Οδικές Συγκοινωνίες Ανώνυμος Εταιρεία) states that the incident occurred on Saturday, November 9 in the afternoon, on the route Χαλάνδρι-Νέα Πε ντέλη. In relation to the driver, after consultation with the Minister of Infrastructure and Transport Christos Staikouras, a disciplinary process has been initiated to impose strict sanctions on the driver. ΟΣΥ's message reads:
“Ο.ΣΥ. Α.Ε. late in the evening was informed by the police authorities that a company driver operating on route 451 had been taken to the Halandri police station because he had been found to be driving under the influence of alcohol. By order of the company management, after consultation with the Minister of Infrastructure and Transport, Mr. H. Staikouras, a disciplinary procedure has already been initiated to apply the severe sanctions that such a serious violation of the law and dereliction of duty entails.”
