According to Eurostat, wages in Greece are miserable, which are not enough even for the basic necessities, since our country is in the 3rd worst place in the European Union.
According to Eurostat data for 2023, average annual adjusted full-time equivalent salary for full-time employees in EU amounted to 37,900 euros, which is 6.5% more than 35,600 euros in 2022. According to the European Statistical Office, among EU countries the highest average annual adjusted full-time equivalent salary was recorded in Luxembourg (€81,100), followed by Denmark (€67,600) and Ireland (€58,700).
