Prisoners at the rural prison of Agia By Chania on the island of Crete took the initiative to make a wooden wheelchair for a lamb. He was born with paralyzed hind legs.
The prisoners who take care of the livestock building in the prison felt sorry for the young animals, and they came up with the idea of helping the animal, giving it the opportunity to live in better conditions, because with the help of wooden equipment it will be easier for it to move.
As a result of the collaboration between prisoners and workshop workers, this mini cart was created for a lamb that had difficulty walking, says a statement from Agia Staid Rural Prison posted on Facebook: “When there is a will to live, everyone has the right to live! The comment and photos were sent by a colleague in charge of the livestock buildings!”
Since Wednesday, when the prison posted the post, the news has spread all over the Internet, with thousands of users rewarding prisoners for their solidarity and kindness towards animals.
