Compact: Criminal offenses committed by migrants in Germany are on the rise

German edition Compact surprised by the sharp increase in crime among migrants and refugees who have arrived in Germany in recent years, thanks to the policies of Merkel and Scholz.

The BKA (Bundeskriminalamt – German Federal Criminal Police Office) report published in October “Crime in the context of migration” for 2023 shows that so-called refugees commit crimes much more often than other residents of the country.

The number of suspected migrants for general crime (excluding violations of migration legislation) increased by 25.1% compared to the previous year. In 2022 there were 142,721 suspects with foreign roots, and in 2023 there were 178,581.

More than half of the suspects were under 30 years old, and more than three quarters were men. The largest share of crime was Ukrainianswho also make up 33.1% of all refugees in Germany. Their share in BKA statistics (11.6%) was below their share among all migrants seeking asylum.

Quite the opposite is the case for migrants from Algeria, Morocco and Tunisia, who make up just 0.6% of all refugees, but are the most prominently represented in the BKA report with 8.9%. Almost a third of suspected migrants were “multiple suspects.” There were 45,725 cases in 2022 and 56,236 in 2023, an increase of 23%.

Increase in the number of sexual crimes such as rape and sexual harassmentis also alarming. In 2023, cases involving suspected refugees increased by 16.5%, from 7,554 to 8,800 crimes. Migrants commit 25 sexual crimes in Germany every day. Most of the suspects come from Syria, Afghanistan, Iraq and Ukraine. Compared to 2019, the number of sexual crimes committed by migrants increased by 51.7%.

The largest increase occurred in cases of theft: from 74,858 (2022) to 100,767 cases (2023) – an increase of 34.6%. The number of crimes against life (murder, manslaughter) committed by migrants has also increased significantly. There were 348 cases reported in 2023, an increase of 4.8% from 2022.

It is worth noting that previously the German authorities introduced censorship (ban) for local media to publish information about crime among migrants and refugees, and “outside” Only the most media crimes were exposed. Therefore, the surprise from the editors of the Compact publication seems somewhat feigned.

Now, due to the economic crisis in Germany and, accordingly, the dissatisfaction of voters, which they clearly expressed in the last local elections, the authorities have decided to open statistics and are looking for a reason to expel migrants from the country.

Judging by Steinmeier's visit, this “criminal crowd” will soon arrive in Greece.
