According to the Greek government, the agreement paves the way for active Greek participation in the reconstruction of Ukraine, in particular Odessa. It is a city with strong cultural and historical ties to Greece, which Mitsotakis promised to help revive during his visit to Ukraine last March. Such recovery efforts also open up opportunities for Greek companies to collaborate with both European and Ukrainian firms.
