The alarm was raised early in the morning on Thursday, October 31, by a police squad. In the Selianitika area of the city of Patras, unknown persons blew up an ATM, taking a large sum of money.
The incident occurred on the old National Road (παλιά Εθνική Οδός) and the police were immediately notified. The local authorities' patrol car managed to spot the criminals, after which a chase began in the style of “Hollywood Beiges”.
At some point, the attackers abandoned the car and fled in an unknown direction. Inside the car, which turned out to be stolen and had wrong license plates, about 30,000 euros and a can of gasoline were found, with which they planned to burn the car to hide traces of the crime. But apparently they didn’t have time.
