The largest Greek flag was raised in Santorini on October 28. Its area is 1500 square meters and its weight is about 200 kilograms.
According to Agapios Skopelitis, who lives on the island, the flag is 30 meters high and 50 meters long.
“We did it again this year! It's an amazing view when you sit next to the flag and it flies”he told SKAI.
The idea of creating the largest flag in Greece “belonged to two parents from a diving academy. They decided to make a big flag on the island in 2021. We accepted the idea and were able to implement it.”
The flag was sewn in Thessaloniki and arrived in Santorini, where “We have strengthened it and are flying without problems.”
