According to a Metron Analysis poll conducted on Thursday, October 24, 68% of citizens still believe that “the country's economy is doing poorly.”
Analysis of the data also showed that high prices remain the main problem in the country: 38% of respondents said so. In second place are problems in the economy (24% of votes).
Study DIMEA among 35 companies
Against the backdrop of the current situation, results of the ongoing large-scale DIMEA study. It covers 26 large companies in the food and non-food industries, as well as 9 supermarket chains, including the largest in terms of turnover. The study began in July and has since expanded to major meat importers and wholesalers.
The purpose of large-scale audits of more than 2,500 product codes is to identify unreasonable price increases. It is noted that control is based on the current legislation on the marginal rate of return, which, as stated by the Minister of Development, will be in force until 2025.
List of verified companies
Among those tested were 9 largest supermarket chains: Greek hypermarkets Sklavenitis, AB Vassilopoulos, Lidl Hellas, Metro AEVE, Masoutis AE, ANEDHK Kritikos, Pente AE (Galaxias), Bazaar and Discount Markt. Among suppliers Multinational companies producing detergents, cleaning products and household products were noted, such as SC Johnson, η Colgate Palmolive, η Procter & Gamble, η Henkel, η Ελαΐς Unilever και η Johnson & Johnson.
All large dairy companies were tested for the production of quality food products: Ελληνικά Γαλακτοκομεία (Όλυμπος), η Δέλτα, η ΦΑΓΕ, η Κρι Κρι, η FrieslandCamp ina Hellas, η Εβροφάρμα, καθώς και οι Upfield Hellas και Μινέρβα.
