On Sunday morning there was an earthquake, the epicenter of which was in Attica.
According to updated data from the Geodynamic Institute, the earthquake occurred at 09:18 on Sunday morning. The epicenter was located three kilometers south of Ano Liosia, and the source was at a depth of 12 kilometers. The magnitude of the earthquake was 2.7 on the Richter scale.
Despite the small magnitude, the source was shallow, so the “echoes” of the earthquake were felt by residents of many areas of Attica and, in particular, Athens.
Also, around 9:30 am, an earthquake measuring 5.0 on the Richter scale occurred in Turkey. The tremors were felt by residents of the island of Lesvos.
