Former US President Donald Trump posted a letter from Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky on the Truth Social social network, without accompanying it with any comment.
He used the social network Truth Social to publish the letter. reports “European truth”. Zelensky wrote in it, noting the importance of personal contact:
“All of us in Ukraine want to end this war with a just peace. And we know that without America this cannot be achieved. That is why we must strive to understand each other and remain in close contact. A few days ago we asked for a meeting with you, and I am very I want to hear your thoughts directly, firsthand.
You know that I always have great respect for everything that is connected with you, and that’s how it should be. I may be in New York on Friday and that would be a good time to meet.
Let me know if you are in town at this time – I would very much like our meeting to take place as part of our efforts to help us end this war in a just way.”
The message was conveyed to Trump through Denis Sienik, deputy chief of mission of the Ukrainian Embassy in the United States. Donald Trump said he will visit Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky on Friday for their first meeting since 2019. Let us recall that in 2019, in the United States, without Zelensky’s consent, in an attempt to protect Trump from impeachment, they published a transcript of his first conversation with the then American president.
According to Voice of America, Trump will meet with Zelensky in New York on Friday morning, around 9:45 (16:45 Kyiv time) at Trump Tower. The ex-president himself wrote that he would meet with Zelensky on Friday morning.
At a press conference at Trump Tower in New York, Trump expressed confidence that he could reach an agreement with Russian President Vladimir Putin and President Zelensky: “I will say this: I believe that I will be able to reach an agreement quickly enough between President Putin and President Zelensky. I do not I want to tell you what it will be.”
