Greek Cheeses Ranked Among the World's Best

Nine Greek cheeses are featured in the list of the world's 50 best hard cheeses, compiled by Taste Atlas Parallaxi on September 23, 2024.

The culinary guide often publishes lists of the best dishes in the worldand Greek cuisine occupies a special place in them. Greek cuisine is recognized as the second best in the world after Italian.

Greece is represented by nine cheeses in the list of the best cheeses in the world. Graviera from Naxos is second, and graviera from Crete is third. Kefalograviera is seventh, San Michalis (Syros) is eighth, and graviera Αγράφων is ninth. Kefalotyri is thirteenth, Metsovone (μετσοβόνε) is fourteenth, and Ladotyri from Mytilene is seventeenth. Melichloro (Lemnos) is forty-third, and Mykonos sour cheese is sixty-fourth.
