The search continues for a 78-year-old Greek pensioner who went missing in Istanbul. Due to high roaming rates in Turkey, his mobile phone is switched off, making the search even more difficult.
The traces of retired construction worker Dimitris Papadimitriou from Servia Kozani were lost during a trip to Istanbul. The Turkish authorities were put on alert, Interpol was notified.
The elderly man's son, who is in Istanbul, said the first CCTV footage showed his father with his companions before they left the hotel to go out for a meal nearby. However, there were no images of him returning. writes newsbeast.gr.
Dimitris Papadimitriou reportedly left the restaurant in Taksim Square, where they were all having lunch together, before the others to return to the hotel and rest.
