“The dirty laundry was aired in public” by the wife of a 40-year-old firefighter from Lesbos, who was brutally attacked by her husband: “He started beating me, and I was screaming, 'Help!' I opened the car door, and he was driving with the car with the door open and saying, 'Now I'm going to kill you and the baby!'”
She complained to the Star that she was beaten again as a result of an unprovoked fight.
“I opened the door and screamed, 'Help!' because my legs were sticking out of the door. He grabbed my head, pinned it under the steering wheel, hit me on the steering wheel and said: “I will kill, I will finish you off!” His cousin jumped to his feet and pulled him out of the car. Another woman came and took the child, and I had blood running down my face and was running barefoot. I went into the tavern and pressed the emergency button on my mobile phone,” the woman says.
A year ago, the victim filed a complaint against the alleged perpetrator.A year ago we filed a complaint against him for physical abuse, and two years ago a specific incident was repeated again – a very brutal beating when she was still pregnant with their child, and these beatings led to premature birth,” – said the 40-year-old woman's lawyer.
Police are continuing their investigation to establish the location of the alleged perpetrator.
