Changes and cancellations of routes of Greek airlines AEGEAN and Olympic Air are coming in the winter period, in connection with the modernization work of regional airports.
In emergency updates, reports CNN Greece, companies indicate that there will be changes and even cancellations to flight schedules for certain dates throughout the winter season.
The changes apply to the period from November 2024 to March 2025 and affect flights to/from Samos, Mytilene, Corfu, Kefalonia, Santorini, Rhodes, Kavala, Mykonos and Zakynthos – individual airports will undergo upgrades. The following table shows flights to and from regional airports that will be changed or cancelled on certain dates:
- Σάμος 05/11/2024 – 25/11/2024
- Κέρκυρα 11/18/2024 – 12/08/2024 and 01/13/2025 – 01/31/2025
- Müυτιλήνη 11/15/2024 – 03/25/2025, every Tuesday from 00:00 for 24 hours
- Κεφαλονιά 25/11/2024 – 15/12/2024
- From 10/12/2024 to 31/01/2025, every Tuesday from 18:00 for 48 hours
- Σαντορίνη 08/01/2025 – 23/01/2025
- Καβάλα 10/01/2025 – 30/01/2025
- Μύκονος 25/01/2025 – 15/02/2025
- Ζάκυνθος 02/15/2025 – 03/05/2025.
Passengers with tickets on affected flights will receive personalized information about their available flights, and companies will arrange additional flights before and after airport suspensions to better serve travelers.
