A family in Amaliada went from absolute joy to mourning in one moment when a new mother died unexpectedly next to her newborn.
The news broke on Tuesday (6.08.2024), and the details are shocking. As it turned out, the unfortunate woman was found by the father of the family in his home in Paluki-Amaliadas, when their baby was next to her.
According to ERT, 38-year-old Ioanna Georgiou was at home with the newborn while her husband was at work and the older child was with his grandmother. It is reported that the woman gave birth last week.
Worried that his wife was not answering his calls, he returned home to find his wife dead and the baby next to her, blue from screaming. It is believed that the woman had been dead for at least six hours.
