Tensions arose at the airport on the island of Zakynthos when a 29-year-old Moroccan woman caused an incident with airline staff.
The riots broke out when the foreign woman started behaving outrageously. The incident took place on August 2. According to thetoc.gr, the young woman unexpectedly started screaming and making obscene gestures, kicking the railings. When the police tried to take her away, she tried to escape and bit the constable on the arm, damaging the right pocket of his trousers.
According to preliminary information, the authorities detained the violent woman to find out what was going on and also to test her for “prohibited substances.”
