Bus driver OAS found a forgotten wallet containing 12,000 euros on his route and returned it to the police, showing his humanity.
As he emphasized, “My first and last thought was to give them up. I saw the wallet, I said, someone forgot it. I opened it and was shocked to see it full, and immediately closed it. It contained 10,600 euros and about 1,200 euros in foreign currency. I went and gave it to the police, where they officially recorded the transfer of the find.”
The bus driver added: “After that, I spoke to my daughter, who is 13, and I told her: 'Konstantina, I found this amount.' She asked me what I did, and I asked her what to do in this case. And she answered me that 'you need to give it back, because the money is not yours.'”
