Announcement of where and when the funeral of the Prince of Greece and Denmark, the only member of the Glicksburg family who holds Greek citizenship, will take place.
The information appeared on the Instagram account of the Society Against Child Cruelty, the Eliza Society, of which Michel was the founder and honorary president. According to the message, The final farewell to Prince Michael will take place on Thursday, August 1, at the 1st Cemetery of Athens, and the funeral of the Prince of Greece and Denmark will take place in Tatoi.
The only member of the Glicksburg family to hold Greek citizenship, writer and historian, Prince Michael of Greece and Denmark died July 28, in an Athens hospital. Prince Michael, the author of historical novels and royal biographies in French, known as Michel de Grèce, was the only living grandson of George I and a relative of the late former King of Greece, Constantine Glyxburgh. He died at the age of 85.
