Due to extreme weather conditions, the Acropolis is closed today for five hours – from 12:00 to 17:00.
According to the National Meteorological Service, the peak of the heat is expected in Athens on July 17 and 18, today and tomorrow. Very high temperatures prevail in the country. In this regard, the Ministry of Culture reports:
“As already announced by the EFA of the City of Athens and the Organization for the Management and Development of Cultural Resources, due to the forecast of high temperatures, the archaeological site of the Acropolis must be closed from 12:00 to 17:00.”
