The Heraklion Fire Department imposed a fine of 3,375 euros on a 60-year-old man who burned branches in the Lefkohori area in the municipality of Minoa Pediadia, causing the fire to grow and burn forestland.
The man was arrested and confessed to his crime. He burned branches and the fire escaped, causing the fire brigade to be called. He was released and must now pay the €3,375 fine imposed on him.
