Residents of villages such as Kalamia and Xino Nero in Western Macedonia are forced to leave their homes because they are surrounded by hundreds of hectares of “glass desert”, or photovoltaic installations.
This is the kind of nonsense that happens with so-called “green” development, which is supposed to be… environmentally friendly.

It's surprising that no one mentions the environmental destruction caused by photovoltaic parks and wind farms. It could be said that even the fire protection law was designed precisely for this purpose: to impose unaffordable costs on rural property owners so that they would give up their properties and new… “green” parks would be created in their place.
