Elections go, real estate auctions come

Houses, land plots, warehouses and parking lots will go under the hammer for tax debts. The list of 50 auctions for the sale of real estate was published in July by the Tax Inspectorate ΑΑΔΕ.

Auctions will resume after the elections. ΑΑΔΕ is tightening conditions on those with outstanding debts to the government, prioritizing the big ones and using every means available, from confiscation of bank accounts and other assets to the release of names.

The list currently includes 50 real estate auctions scheduled for the period from June 28 to July 26, 2023, where property of all categories will be sold under the hammer: from residential and commercial buildings to warehouses, land plots and parking lots. The latest available data show that 3,990,717 individuals and entities are in debt. Of these, 2,036,867 taxpayers are at risk of being subjected to enforcement measures. And to 1,412,322 taxpayers already enforced measures on their debts.

The total arrears reach 114 billion euros, of which more than 26 billion euros are classified as uncollectible.

If overdue the debt exceeds 500 euros, ΑΑΔΕ has the ability to impose confiscation of mobile property (cars, etc.) in the hands of the debtor or in the hands of third parties, as well as confiscation of real estate. After that, the auction procedure starts.

The necessary condition is sending by the tax administration of an individual notice of payment of debt / overdue debt. From the date of delivery to the debtor of a copy deed of attachment He deprived of the right to freely dispose of property, and if he did not include his debts in the settlement program, after forty days and no later than four months from the date of withdrawal, an auction date is set, no later than five months from the date of issue of the program. According to the ΑΑΔΕ program, the 50 auctions that will be launched for the next period include:
