The center of Athens is in high demand in terms of the program DYPA “My house”.
Areas of the capital such as Patision, Acharnon, Kypseli, Attikis Square and Patisia have a very high percentage of houses suitable for the housing program that is currently “working”.
In particular, Pathisia is currently the most suitable area in Athens (72%), according to a survey conducted by the Athens-Attica Association of Civil Contract Brokers (ΣΜΑΣΣΑ). It is followed by pl. Attiki (71%), Patision and Acharnon (67%), Gizi (54%), etc.
The study concerns residential properties with an area of 70 to 100 sq.m, built before 2007, and worth up to 150,000 euros, located from the 1st floor and above, according to the terms of the My Home program.
Recall that within programs “My home” young people or couples aged 25-39 can purchase a privately owned home with a monthly payment significantly less than a mortgage, since 75% of the capital is provided by DYPA and is an interest-free loan. For three-children and large families (and those acquiring this status), the loan is completely interest-free.
The ΣΜΑΣΣΑ (Σύλλογος Μεσιτών Αστικών Συμβάσεων Αθήνας-Αττικής) Association (Σύλλογος Μεσιτών Αστικών Σθήνας-Αττικής) recently stated that there is a “serious” problem, as out of 45,000 properties available, only 32% meet the conditions of the housing program.
