From China to Europe: LPG for Yuan

For the first time, China sold liquefied natural gas to Europe for yuan, China Daily reported.

The deal for 65,000 tons of LNG was concluded between the French oil and gas company TotalEnergies and the Chinese CNOOC. Liquefied natural gas was delivered to China from the UAE.

CNOOC is China’s third largest oil company after CNPC and Sinopec, founded in 1982. The company is headquartered in Beijing and is engaged in the extraction, processing and marketing of oil and natural gas in offshore China and abroad.

TotalEnergies is one of the largest energy companies in the world with operations in over 130 countries. The French company produces oil and gas in Europe, the Middle East and North Africa, the Asia-Pacific region, North and South America. TotalEnergies employs over 100,000 people.
