National government body for the control of products EFET is starting to recall specific batches of chocolates due to the discovery of a substance in them that exceeds the legal limit.
The recall decision concerns batches of specific types of CACHET chocolates, while the relevant checks are ongoing. EPET urges those who have purchased these products not to eat them.
In particular, EFET was informed throughemergency alert system for defective products on the distribution by the Belgian company Kim’s Chocolates NV to the Greek market of organic chocolate with almonds containing aflatoxin B1. When examining the product, it turned out that the total concentration of aflatoxins in the food product exceeds the upper limit of the legal norm.
Review for products:
1. “Dark chocolate with almonds 72% cocoa”, with the trade name “CACHET”, in a package of 100g, with batch number 22343 and an expiration date of 09/03/2024.
2. “Dark chocolate with cherries and almonds 57% cocoa”, with the trade name “CACHET”, in a package of 100g, with lot number 22302 and expiration date 01/29/2024.
