Meteorologist Sakis Arnautoglu warns that the wind force at sea can reach 9 on the Beaufort scale. A sudden drop in temperature will be accompanied by rain and snow even at low altitudes.
In his forecast, Sakis Arnautoglu notes that until noon on Monday the weather will be warm like in spring, the thermometer will reach 25 ° C in some places. However, then a sharp cooling will begin from the north.
Its first manifestations are expected in the second half of Monday in the western part of the country, the south wind will suddenly change to the north-west. On Tuesday, weather deterioration will spread to the whole of Greece – the western regions, more locally to central Macedonia with strong winds, with rain in the east and downpours in the rest of the territory.
The temperature will drop by 10 degrees. On Tuesday, the average temperature will not exceed 13-14°C, in the northern regions and highlands the air will be even colder. A light snowfall is expected in the mountains in the north of the country on Monday, and on Tuesday snow may also fall in the southern regions. In the center and south, rains at an altitude of 800 meters and above will turn into snow. In the north of Greece, snowfall is expected even at an altitude of 500-600 meters.
On Wednesday, March 29, the weather will improve, the manifestations of bad weather will be localized in eastern Greece.
